What follows is a sampling of the recent outstanding results we have achieved for our clients:

Products liability case involving defectively designed welding machine.   We proved that the power switch on the welding machine was defectively designed and that these defects contributed to client’s injuries.  After three days of trial, the defense offered $3,750,000.00 to settle the matter.

$590,000.00

An automobile accident case where a left turning vehicle collided with the client’s vehicle.   Client suffered severe facial lacerations, along with injuries to her jaw and teeth as a result of the accident.  Prior to trial, the case settled for $590,000.00 against the responsible parties.

$1,100,000.00

An automobile accident involving an 18-wheeler.   At trial, we proved that the driver of an 18-wheeler was inattentive and further, he made an improper maneuver to avoid a cow in the road causing the client’s injuries.  The jury awarded client $1,100,000.00 against the manufacturer of the truck.   The owner of the cow settled prior to the trial for $195,000.00.   Defense offered less than $10,000.00 to settle prior to trial.

$420,000.00

Power saw accident at school involving a 15 year old student who sustained a partial thumb amputation.   We settled the matter with the school board for $420,000.00 prior to trial.

$540,000.00

Client suffered substantial injuries in an auto accident.  The liability insurance company refused to pay the $10,000.00 policy limits.   We made a claim against the insurance company for bad faith in their treatment of our client.   We settled the matter with the insurance company for $540,000.00.

  $450,000.00

Product liability case involving a defectively designed shelf in a retail store.   We showed that because of the defective design, the shelf gave way and injured the client.   We settled the matter with the insurance company for $450,000.00 just prior to trial.

Confidential Settlement

Client suffered mental anguish after being exposed to the HIV virus.  Although client did not contract the HIV virus, client did sustain substantial mental anguish as a result of the exposure.  We obtained a favorable settlement for our client, however, the amount of the settlement is confidential.  The client wrote a letter of appreciation to the handling attorney, stating: "Words cannot express how grateful I am for everything!  I greatly appreciate the way you handled my case with much professionalism, patience, and most of all - Compassion."

Client suffered injuries to his shoulder and neck in a motorcycle accident.  We showed that the driver of an SUV negligently ran a stop sign and struck our client on his motorcycle.  We settled the matter with the insurance company for $185,000.00.

Products liability case against an automobile tire manufacturer.   We were able to show the tread on the tire separated and caused our client to lose control of his vehicle.  Prior to trial, we settled  the matter with the tire company for $360,000.00.
